What is ASHVINI’s ₹28,000 crore nuclear tender?

ASHVINI, a joint venture between NPCIL and NTPC, has invited bids for the Nuclear Island Mega EPC Package (NIMEP) for the Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (MBRAPP) Units 1–4.

The package is valued at more than ₹28,000 crore. It is the largest Nuclear Island EPC package issued under India’s indigenous 700 MWe PHWR programme.
